The department’s undergraduate curriculum is designed with a fundamental purpose and practical application strategy which is divided into three categories: 1) the business management general education which includes the university required courses, 2) an abundant selection of elective courses to enhance and strengthen the overall education, and 3) obtaining a balance among the required and elective courses within the interdisciplinary program or major.

Research

In order to encourage cross-departmental collaboration and to strengthen research capacity and opportunities, we are dedicated to bridge different departments through both direct, physical and online approaches. In terms of physical facility approaches, we established college research centers for different research areas. There are currently eight research centers within the College of Management which include: Research Center for International Finance, Center for Industrial Research, Research Center for Knowledge Management, Research Center for Econometrics, Research Center for Case Study Training and Development, Research Center for the Tourism Industry, Research Center for the Leisure and Hospitality Industry, and Research Center for Cultural and Creative Industries in the Asian-Pacific Region. Meanwhile, we also launched an online platform to facilitate academic discussions and research networking.

The goal of the College of Management : Project 221 Dean Lin Lin proposed the bidirectional aspect and a new approach in 2011 Bidirectional : from the inside, we aim to create a competitive research university-industry integration, from the outside to create connections with the right people in order to generate a substantial international cash flow A new approach: to create unity and a smooth flow among the inside and outside, with new visions and thinking perspectives Institute for Management Development
